Why Smart Homebuyers Buy Before Prices Bounce

The signs of recovery in the real estate market are beginning to show up more frequently as we pass the mid-point of 2009. With home sales picking up, prices are starting to rebound. While this is good for our economy, it also means that before long, prices and mortgage interest rates will be on the upswing, possibly making it harder for you to own your own home.

If you want to get the best price for your new home, the answer is to buy before prices and interest rates get high again. Smart homebuyers know to when to stop waiting and start making an offer—before the price starts to bounce, because they’ll save possibly thousands of dollars simply by buying before the bounce in prices. which would cost them a lot more money for the very same home. Call (202) 397-1112 or click here to contact Capitol Gateway today to learn about all your options for making homeownership a reality at Capitol Gateway while you can still get the best price!

8,000 Little Helpers to Help You Close the Deal

Closing costs can come as a surprise at the end of the homebuying experience, but the Federal government just gave you 8,000 little helpers to help you buy a new home at Capitol Gateway. The new Federal stimulus package passed in February 2009 includes an $8,000 tax credit for new homebuyers. This tax credit does not have to be repaid, and the money can be used to help toward closing costs on the purchase of a new home. There are more ways to use the tax credit than just on closing costs, and there are some limitations on who can take advantage of the program. Click here for more information on the new Federal housing tax credit.

A Real (Big) Home, in a Real Neighborhood

Capitol Gateway offers urban amenities at suburban prices. We’re a real neighborhood, close to where you work and play. There are few places like our community in D.C., where you can be so close to everything, and have all the space you need, at such a competitive price.

Our fully detached single-family homes offer generous lawns, open spaces, natural light, and ample privacy. If your family needs even more space, options include finished basements. In fact, normally you’d have to go quite far outside the city to get this much space, a garage, and an actual yard at this price— Single-family homes start in the mid $300s—there’s so much value in a new home at Capitol Gateway.

And with our carefully design streetscapes, manicured landscaping, and bright color, Capitol Gateway is a welcoming neighborhood where children can play on the sidewalks, and families can truly grow together.
